Dewa will be with Polyphéme for his new composition in Marseille and Grenoble for two weeks in February.
Polyphéme is a group formed by percussionist Wassim Halal with himself and 8 gamelan musicians from Paris for inter-cultural music experiments.
Dewa Alit has written a commissioned piece "Ambigu" using Balinese gamelan and darbuka especially for the group's unique instrumentation.
Dewa and the members of Polyphéme will be hosted as artist in residence at Le GMEM-Centre National de Création Musicale in Marseille for the first week and then Centre International des Musiques Nomades in Grenoble for the second week.

There will be no public performances during Dewa Alit's stay in France this time, and Ambigu is scheduled to be premiered by Polyphéme in France in early May, 2024.
